Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is gearing up to introduce its homemade electric vehicle (EV) in the market. It is anticipated that the 'ES7 Seven' model will be officially unveiled in the Chinese market on the 28th of next month. Xiaomi has already opened 59 stores in 29 cities across the country to facilitate pre-orders.
In December of the past year, Xiaomi showcased its first self-made electric car. Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, revealed that the ES7 Seven model incorporates super electric motor technology, providing a faster pace compared to electric cars like Tesla or Porsche. Xiaomi plans to invest a whopping $100 billion in the next ten years to become one of the top five electric car manufacturers globally.
According to Xiaomi, the electric car will be available in two versions - one with a range of 668 kilometers on a single charge, and the other with a range of 800 kilometers. These vehicles will support various electronic devices, allowing drivers and passengers to easily use different mobile apps.
Xiaomi claims to use special technology for charging the car in low temperatures, ensuring rapid charging even in extreme cold conditions. The electric cars are manufactured at the production facility of BAI Group, a national enterprise in China. Initial production targets aim to release two hundred thousand units annually, but Xiaomi has not disclosed the pricing details yet.
Excitement is building up as Xiaomi ventures into the electric vehicle market, promising innovative technology and competitive options for consumers. The official launch next month will shed more light on the features and pricing of Xiaomi's electric cars. Stay tuned for updates on this promising development from Xiaomi!
